Before this summer, my interest in skateboarding had been a brief phase dating back to
junior high, and only an excuse to ogle the boy I had a hard crush on.
But this summer in Addis Ababa, I got much more involved, researching the skateboarding scene and talking to its adherents for this article, which I invite you to read and enjoy the awesome pics.
